The Reverend Thomas A. Keys has been preaching the Good News of Jesus Christ since 2001. He has served as a Pastor-Teacher of the Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church (SRMBC) from 2015 – 2024.  Under Pastor Keys’ leadership, SRMBC grew from 16 members to over 150 in two years.  And despite the COVID-19 global pandemic, Pastor led SRMBC in a 3-million-dollar new Church Building Project (completed in 2024).

Prior to becoming the Pastor of The Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church of Harrisburg, he served Goodwin in various capacities, including Senior Associate Minister, Pastor of Evangelism, Associate Pastor of Service & Support Ministries, Director of the Young Adult Ministry, Clergy & Congregational Worship Leader, and Adult Sunday School Teacher. Pastor Keys is known throughout the Central Baptist Association of Pennsylvania (CBA), having previously served as an Area Vice–Moderator (Harrisburg, Carlisle, and Steelton) and as Home Missions and Christian Education Director.

Reverend Keys is a United States veteran with military service throughout the United States, Korea, Europe and the Middle East.  A native of Philadelphia, PA, Reverend Keys relocated to Harrisburg in 1994 to accept a position with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In the same year, he joined the Goodwin Memorial Baptist Church, where he has served faithfully for 20 years. He was licensed to preach the Gospel in 2000 and ordained in 2001 under the pastorate of the Reverend Dr. Alfred E. Smith. For more than a decade, Reverend Keys has served Goodwin in various capacities, including Senior Associate Minister, Pastor of Evangelism, Associate Pastor of Service and Support Ministries, Director of the Young Adult Ministry, Clergy and Congregational Worship Leader, and Adult Sunday School Teacher.

Reverend Keys is retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, having served for over 32 years in the Departments of Insurance and Labor & Industry. After serving as Pastor–Teacher of SRMBC, God has led Pastor Keys to launch Keys for Living Ministries, a para–church ministry with the mission to provide pastoral care and support to pastors, churches, and the community. Reverend Keys is married to the former Kirsten Nicole Harris.  They reside in Lower Paxton Township, Harrisburg, PA.
